SarahCare staffers are trained and experienced in the techniques and procedures of elder care. These include the proper methods for lifting and transferring people to and from wheelchairs.
We also know how and when to use one of several "buddy systems", with two, three or four staffers working together to safely lift and move a participant while maintaining their comfort.
All of our staffers are certified in First Aid, CPR and AED.
Our management staff is also trained and certified in Dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s care by The Institute for Professional Education.
Tim Dupic, founder and Executive Director
Tim began his career earning master degrees in Business Administration and Divinity. Since then, Tim has held many executive positions, including serving as CEO of a regional telecom company and as a Director on several national corporate Boards.
But Tim wasn’t satisfied. His desire to serve others drew him to the challenge of improving the lives of the elderly, especially those struggling with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and dementia.
So in 2006 Tim opened SarahCare of Campbell, and began working on his doctoral studies in Business Administration.
After completing his dissertation, "The Long Term Care for the Elderly in the San Francisco Bay Area: Needs and Affordability", Tim was awarded a Doctorate in Business Administration.
Since then, Dr. Dupic has earned Certifications in the care of people with dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
One of Tim’s favorite slogans is, "Use it or lose it." To this end, he designed SarahCare so that every participant is engaged mentally and physically each day. They also sleep better after enjoying our varied activities.
SarahCare of Campbell was opened in 2006 by Tim Dupic. A successful CEO of a multi-state corporation, Tim’s life changed the day his mother passed away in her apartment, discovered by the Meals on Wheels volunteer who was her only daily care giver.
Tim wanted to create a safe environment for seniors with cognitive or physical disabilities, where they would receive care and supervision during the day, enabling family caregivers to work in the daytime without the anxiety of leaving at-risk loved ones home alone.
After careful planning, Tim opened SarahCare of Campbell. Today SarahCare is widely considered to be the most desirable elder care facility in the South Bay. Our seniors enjoy nurturing care by a professional staff, and sharing the company of others in a home-like setting
The care we provide expresses our core values of "Respect, Dignity and Compassion". SarahCare’s senior daycare program is a superior alternative to nursing homes, assisted living facilities and in-home care.
