Brain fitness program

SarahCare now offers BrainHQ, an online brain-fitness program developed by Posit Science, a leader in brain fitness programs. This program is a series of fun and engaging exercises that are performed on a computer.

BrainHQ has 29 exercises that develop attention, brain speed, memory, navigation, people skills and intelligence.

While there are many computer-based "brain games" available today, BrainHQ is a scientifically based brain-training system that represents over 30 years of research in neurological science and related medicine.

BrainHQ was designed by a team of neuroscientists led by Dr. Michael Merzenich, a professor emeritus in neurophysiology and member of the National Academy of Sciences.

Brain training tailored to each person

One BrainHQ exercise takes less than five minutes to complete. Using a special algorithm, each exercise adapts in difficulty as the player uses it, so they are always training at the optimum level. This is when they are most likely to make cognitive improvements.

Along the way, the program provides a lot of feedback on how one is doing. Users aren’t competing against others, but rather trying to better their own previous performance.

Proven cognitive benefits

More than 100 published scientific papers show the benefits of the BrainHQ program. Most of these studies were independently conducted by researchers at respected medical schools such as the University of California, Stanford, and Johns Hopkins.

SarahCare has BrainHQ installed on the computers in our game room. We offer this brain training to our participants free of charge.
